To start off my new trump poster I of course starting with the man himself. Get an image off of Google Images that was labelled for reuse, do not cause any possible legal troubles. I placed it into Photoshop and use image tracing to turn bold and highlighted features of his face into a negative, like Andy Warhol screen printings, I did the process a second time round however to capture more detail of his face such as lips and eyes as the first time round it only caught major shading what by itself was hard to tell that it was Trump to differ from the two I change the colour and place them over each other to create a two tone Style screen print. I also played around with the second colour what highlights to detail I tried it with the red colour however I personally did not like it, it seems like it was too much and perhaps not realistic as that colour wasn’t a natural skin tone. I showed it to my classmates he also agreed that the final pink hair colour looks better and blended well with the background colour.
I wanted to look like it was taken from a newspaper of hats a textbook from the future talking about President Trump and in general more realistic so I created a jagged shape in illustrator with the pen tool and use my blue colour as it’s fill value. I think this makes it look like a piece of craft paper and a lot more realistic as if it was just cut out randomly from like I said a newspaper or textbook and suits the artistic style a lot.
The Blue Square was smaller than the thing itself what left at a slight bleeding over / overlay of Trance face onto the background I was torn on whether to leave this as it looks rather rustic or to use the Divide tool to clean up the edges. Again I experimented and look to the to have thought that I would make a compromise and have clean edges on some sides but and overlay on other sides what I feel like looks the best.
