I have been recently watching a lot of films by Wes Anderson and David Lean, two directors that have a heavy focus in a clean and clutter free shot – one that focuses on the characters, the setting and the mise-en-scene. This, and what my peers are doing are making me want to change my idea for my film, as they are making or thinking of making the type of time travel film that I was also going to make. To add some diversity and make my film stand out I have decided to change my film idea now, before I really start planning.
My new idea is heavily influenced by those two directors and the film Reservoir Dogs by Quentin Tarantino in the framing and editing, having very smooth and seamless shot transitions and pans to keep the viewer engaged in the film, and its plot…
Change of Idea…
